PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held for the purposes of receiving comments on an application to the County of Monmouth for the Open Space Trust Funds under the Monmouth County Municipal Park Improvement Grant Program. The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Keansburg Borough Hall, 29 Church Street, Keansburg, NJ 07734 at 6:00pm at which time all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may also be submitted and will be accepted by the Municipal Clerk prior to the hearing date and time.
The Borough of Keansburg desires to obtain Monmouth County Municipal Park Improvement Grant Program funds in order to develop the following parks: Friendship Park located at the intersection of Main Street and Frances Place (Block 94, Lots 47 & 48) as shown on the Tax map of the borough of Keansburg as well as upgrades to other parks throughout the Borough.

CODE RED AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY:
FROM THE OFFICE OF KEANSBURG EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-
NJ State Environmental Officials have issued a “CODE RED AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY” across New Jersey until Midnight Thursday Night due to the lingering smoke from Canadian Wildfires.
Please consider staying indoors and limiting your outdoor activities. Wearing a mask will reduce your expose to polluntants.

The Army Corps of Engineers has some plans for the Bayshore with regard to storms, sea level rise, erosion etc. It is unclear at this juncture exactly what those plans are, but Cliffwood Beach and Keansburg are in their crosshairs. Already they are doing work on Union Beach.
