Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are abundant in Keansburg. Below is a list of organizations and events that welcome volunteers.

Beach Sweeps

Clean Ocean Action sponsors two major beach sweeps each year in April and October that benefit the Borough’s beachfront.

Fire Department 

Keansburg Fire Co. No. 1  welcomes volunteer firemen starting at age 18. 

New Point Comfort Fire Co. No. 1 – welcomes volunteer firemen starting at age 18. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

Keansburg EMS – welcomes emergency first responders starting at age 18. Visit their Facebook page for more information. 

Keansburg EMS Cadets  welcomes students ages 15 to 18 years old to learn and become first responders.

Recreation Committee welcomes residents interested in Borough Recreation programs and events.

• Keansburg Baseball and Softball  welcomes volunteers to help organize and/or coach the children’s baseball and softball programs. (Borough Recreation sponsored)
• Keansburg Basketball – welcomes volunteers to help organize and/or coach the children’s basketball programs. (Borough Recreation sponsored)
• Keansburg Football and Cheer welcomes volunteers to help organize and/or coach the children’s football and cheerleading programs. (private organization)

Keansburg High School Booster Club supports the athletics department of Keansburg School District at both High School and Grammar School level.  Run the concessions and hold fundraisers which benefit the High School College Scholarship Program.

Historical Society –
welcomes new members and meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm at Keansburg Firehouse on Manning Place. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
