Hydrant Flushing 9/14 to 10/19

The Keansburg Water Department will commence HYDRANT FLUSHING your water distribution system on Monday, September 14, 2015. Regular flushing is required by the State and is done to improve the aesthetic quality of the water by removing any accumulated non-harmful sediment in the water remains.
This work should be completed by Monday, October 19, 2015. All flushing will be done between the hours of 9:00 pm and Midnight to minimize public inconvenience. The quality of the water will not be affected, although some temporary discoloration or reduction in pressure may occur briefly in the areas being flushed.
Residents are advised to CHECK THE WATER BEFORE washing clothing.
