Public Notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting of the Keansburg Borough Council to be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Keansburg Borough Hall, 29 Church Street, Keansburg, NJ.  Agenda will include, but not limited to, introduction of ordinances regarding redevelopment, redevelopers agreement and final passage on salary ordinances, adoption of resolutions approving payment of bills, extension of redevelopers status and renewal of liquor licenses and any other matter requiring the approval of the governing body.

Public Notice is hereby given that Petitions for Nomination of Candidates to the Keansburg Borough Council are available at the Municipal Clerk’s office at Keansburg Borough Hall, 29 Church Street, Keansburg, NJ.   One (1) unexpired term for Member of the Borough Council shall be voted upon at the General Election to be held on November 2, 2021. The term of office shall commence upon certification of the results of the General Election and expire on June 30, 2022.  Completed petitions are to be returned to the Municipal Clerk’s office by Monday, August 30, 2021.

2021 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Borough of Keansburg is soliciting proposals for professional services to the Borough for the professional term year 2021 – 2022 commencing July 1, 2021   Proposals will be accepted for the specific professional services set forth in the Public Notice, a copy of which is attached hereto.

The REQUEST OF PROPOSAL is for the following professions:

NO later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 local prevailing time.

All proposals for ALL BOROUGH POSITTIONS shall be submitted as:

One (1) original, hard copy document of the proposal shall be submitted on
Tuesday, June 15, 2021.  NO later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 local prevailing time.

 All proposals should include, at a minimum:

In addition:

  1. a Professional Services Entity Information Form
  2. a Mandatory Equal Employment Opportunity Notice Acknowledgement
  3. a copy of the applicable Business Registration Certificate
  4. a Non-Collusion Affidavit
  5. a Disclosure of Ownership Form
  6. an Insurance Requirement Acknowledgement Form

All forms listed above, (#1 through #6) shall be completed in their entirety.

The Governing Body of the Borough of Keansburg on the basis of the proposal deemed to be most advantageous, price and other factors considered will evaluate all proposals.  The evaluation will consider:

  1. Experience in municipal service and reputation in the field;
  2. A list of all municipalities to which you or the firm currently serve or have served;
  3. Knowledge of the Borough of Keansburg and the subject matter to be addressed under the contract;
  4. Availability to accommodate any required meetings of the agency;
  5. Compensation proposal;
  6. Other factors, if determined to be in the best interest of the Borough of Keansburg and its agencies.

VNA to administer COVID19 Vaccine at Fire Company No. 1 – May 13th

The Keansburg Water Department will commence HYDRANT FLUSHING your water distribution system on April 21st, 2021. Regular flushing is required by the State and is done to improve the aesthetic quality of the water by removing any accumulated non-harmful sediment in the water remains.

This work should be completed by May 21st, 2021. All flushing will be done between the hours of 9:00
p.m. and Midnight to minimize public inconvenience. The quality of water will not be affected, although some temporary discoloration or reduction in pressure may occur briefly in the areas being flushed.

Residents are advised to CHECK THE WATER before washing clothing.

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Keansburg Planning Board of Adjustment will convene regular meetings at the dates / times which follow:

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic, and Federal / State / Local Restrictions associated therewith, and depending upon the preferences of Local Borough / Board Officials, the aforesaid meetings will take place in a live setting or a remote setting, through a web meeting conference communication system.  Interested persons are encouraged to monitor the Municipal Website (https://keansburgnj.gov), call the Board Secretary (732) 787-0215 Ext. 220), or E-mail the Board Secretary () for any additional information as to whether any particular meeting will be a live meeting or a remote meeting.  Clearly, the nature / extent of the pandemic, the nature / extent of the Prevailing Emergency Restrictions, the nature / extent of Local Regulations, and Health and Safety Protocol will dictate if a particular meeting will be a live meeting or a remote / virtual meeting.

Members of the Public can check the Borough of Keansburg Website for the link which will be posted at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting.

At each remote meeting, out of an abundance of caution, Board Representatives will also publicly explain and re-explain the process by which Members of the Public can make public comments.

Members of the Public who have questions, comments, or concerns regarding the web-meeting process, or the remote meeting format, should contact the Board Secretary at (732) 787-0215 Ext. 220 (during regular Borough hours).  In the event no one is present to immediately answer the phone (because of Coronavirus scheduling issues, or other issues), Members of the Public are encouraged to leave a message, call back, or send an e-mail message.

Likewise, Members of the Public should also feel free to contact the Board Secretary, at the above-referenced number, if they have any other questions, issues, concerns, or barriers to participation / observation.

Members of the Public can access certain non-privileged and otherwise available information, by visiting the Borough Website at https://keansburgnj.gov. (The application information/plans are or will be available for public inspection, on the Borough Web-site, at least 10 days in advance of the remote Hearing.) (In special circumstances, Members of the public are also free to contact the Board Secretary to discuss if any other special / reasonable accommodations can be effectuated to facilitate public review of pertinent documents.)

Members of the Public should notify the Board Secretary, in advance, if possible, via e-mail or phone call, of any anticipated intention to undertake cross-examination, introduce evidence, and / or otherwise make public comments / statements in connection with a particular Application.  The purpose of such notification is to ensure, to the greatest extent possible, that the technological needs of all are accommodated, and so as to furthermore ensure, to the greatest extent possible, that any additional documents to be identified / referenced at the remote meeting can hopefully be available for review by all participants and other members of the public.  Please note that the preceding sentence will not limit or otherwise block the ability of members of the public to ask questions, make comments, solicit / present testimony, or issue opinions based upon testimony and evidence presented during the remote Public Hearings.

Formal action will be taken at the meetings, and, as indicated, the Public is encouraged to listen, observe, and participate.

Minutes of the meeting will be kept and ultimately made available to the public. If the technology so allows, recordings or reproductions of the meeting can likely be viewed at future dates as well.

Senior Citizen Priority Vaccine Registatration and Transportation INFO

SENIOR VACCINE PRIORITY REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
for Seniors AGE 65 and Older

Dear Keansburg Residents:

The Borough of Keansburg has partnered with legislative officials and our local healthcare systems to prioritize senior citizen vaccination scheduling. In order to be eligible for this priority registration you must be over 65 and a Keansburg Borough Resident.

We will be collecting basic information so that our seniors will be contacted directly and scheduled for a vaccine appointment.

Individuals able to travel to the Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ vaccination mega-site will potentially receive appointments faster. However, all registrants are being prioritized and scheduled for appointments as soon as possible, even if you require a local appointment location.

Local vaccination locations are expected to be Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel and Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.

If you are unable to access or fill out the form, please call the Clerk’s Office at 732-787-0215 x111 for assistance in completing an appointment scheduling form. You will need to provide your information during this phone call.

ALSO:

The Monmouth County Division of Transportation will be offering Free Transportation to Monmouth Council Residents who have sceduled their COVID-19 Vaccinations to locations within Monmouth County.

To qualify for this Free Transportation the following guidelines must be met:

  1. Must have a confirmed vaccine appointment
  2. All trips MUST be scheduled throught the Division of Transportation (732) 431-6480 Option #1
  3. Residents must be 60 year of age or older
  4. Disabled residents over 18
  5. Transportation is only available during regular business hours
